Why is it that, no matter how much sleep I get, I continue to wake with puffy bags under my eyes? Though there are days when I feel downright exhausted, on most occasions, I feel great, well-rested, and ready to start my day. I just wish I looked the part. Evidently, dark circles are hereditary (thanks, Mom and Dad), and are actually worsened by lying down horizontally (so much for the benefits of a good night’s sleep!). I first learned about eye serums back in high school, you know, when I had not a care in the world about dark circles or wrinkles. Since then, I have come to appreciate the benefits of properly using an eye serum, and I have definitely become more in-tune with the chemicals I choose to put in and on my body. That said, our chemical-free eye serum is made with some of the most relaxing, all-natural ingredients around that will help you get a great night’s sleep and allow you to wake up without cowering away from the mirror.
Our serum begins with fair trade organic coffee grounds that have been soaked in avocado and almond oil (doesn’t that just sound deliciously amazing?!?). The grounds are then strained and our heavenly mixture is ready to be applied. All of these basic ingredients not only smell fantastic, but the coffee is a natural anti-inflammatory, so it attacks that puffiness right away. If applying by hand, try to remember to use your ring finger (it’s the weakest one, and therefore, the gentlest on such a sensitive area), or you can use our supplied little roller. When you choose to apply is completely up to you. If I remember, I try to do this before bed – so try leaving on your nightstand. You could also leave it in the fridge for a coolant to some irritated, puffy skin. If you forget to apply as part of your nighttime routine, a quick application in the morning will leave your eyes looking better in just a few minutes.
