Whether it is your first baby or fourth, we would like to congratulate you on deciding to get pregnant!

Now that your goal is to conceive, there might be several things wandering in your mind uncontrollably. To start your fertility journey, you need to be very mindful of your diet, supplements, and exercise.

A healthier you means a healthier reproductive system, and of course, a healthy baby!

Here is a brief set of dietary tips with which you can start your fertility journey:

  • Drink at least 50-80 oz of water a day
  • Eat the right kind of protein, such as eggs, fish, legumes, pulses, poultry, and nuts, to regulate your hormones, enzymes, and blood cells levels
  • Eat antioxidant-rich foods, such as fruits, nuts, and vegetables
  • Avoid processed food, margarine, and vegetable oil
  • Increase your fiber intake
  • Avoid refined carbs, such as white bread and white paste
  • Try adding complex carbs to your routines, such as broccoli, sweet potato, oats, and courgette.

Now that your dietary plan is in motion, you can adorn it with some herbal supplements to speed up the process of relieving reproductive system issues and pave a perfect ground for implantation.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is a time-tested herbal remedy with versatility that knows no bounds. It is a well-reputed Ayurvedic herb traditionally used to address fatigue, stress, and sleep-related issues.

Ayurvedic practitioners call it a Sattvic Kapha Rasayana (rejuvenator) due to its phenomenal capability of restoring libido, depleted tissues, and strained nerves.

It is documented that high cortisol levels in a woman’s body can have deleterious effects on the reproductive system by reducing progesterone levels and irregulating the menstrual cycle. Surprisingly, the adaptogenic property of Ashwagandha proves to be really fruitful in reducing cortisol levels, ultimately tackling oxidative stress and rectifying the hormonal imbalance and menstrual cycle.

Try adding Ashwagandha Tincture or tea to your fertility journey to support ovulation, boost libido, increase cervical mucus production, ease endometriosis, and tone the lining of the uterus.

Red Clover

Red Clover is a nourishing herb that retains a powerful reputation in folk medicine for strengthening bones, support for menopause, preventing miscarriages, and boosting fertility.

It's phytoestrogen content is responsible for its remarkable hypolipidemic, antiatherosclerotic, and hypoglycemic qualities that improve blood circulation, especially in the ovaries and uterus. This strengthens the reproductive organs and makes the ground fertile for implantation.

Try incorporating Red Clover Flower Essence around 3 to 5 months before preparing for the pregnancy. It can also be used during pregnancy, but in small amounts, to reduce the chances of miscarriage.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is our usual aromatic spice that often compliments our teas and curries. It has been around for quite a long time, strengthening mankind with its diversified benefits.

You can simply sprinkle some ground cinnamon on your food or milk every day or take a serious regimen by adding its tincture to your water and teas and drinking it at least 3 times a day.

It's regular consumption increases the blood flow to the pelvic region, regulates menstrual blood flow, eases the symptoms of PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), and corrects the metabolism to boost fertility and improve the chances of conceiving.

Note: Consult your OB/GYN before using any supplements during pregnancy.
