What are Digestive Disorders?
The digestive system is composed of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. All these organs help in transforming big, insoluble chunks of food into a soluble form to produce energy. The irregularities of the digestive system are termed digestive disorders. These disorders can be acute or chronic, causing trouble in metabolizing the food. The most common digestive disorders are GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease), peptic ulcer, constipation, diarrhea, hernia, lactose intolerance, and celiac disease.
