What is Cardiovascular Disease?
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term that refers to a group of diseases, whether congenital or acquired, that distresses the heart and blood vessels. Proper functioning of the heart is the reason on which our life completely depends. CVD can affect more than one chamber of the heart and blood vessels. A patient may be symptomatic or remain asymptomatic for the rest of his life.
